Camcode Exhibits UID Labels & Asset Tags at Atlanta UID Forum
CLEVELAND, Sept. 6, 2007 -- The U.S. Government Department of Defense is serious about keeping track of its important assets with UID asset tags. It has mandated that all parts for DoD equipment be uniquely marked for tracking and valuation control. To date almost 2 million parts have been marked and many millions more are targeted. Candidate items include, but are not limited to, all primary and component parts valued at $5000 or more, all items that are currently managed with serial numbers, all mission critical components, and all Government Furnished Property (GFP) meeting the same terms. All new incoming parts and all legacy parts already in the system are covered.
The Camcode Division of Horizons Incorporated will exhibit UID Label Solutions on September 11-13 at the UID Forum in Atlanta. Camcode will answer UID label and asset tagging questions and put labeling choices into perspective. Camcode is devoted to helping DoD contractors and vendors comply with contractual requirements for MIL-STD-130.
Camcode will also exhibit UID labels and asset tags at the UID Dialogue conference on October 10-11 in Portsmouth, VA.
